Chapter 9

Pullah was mad cause Purp took Jodi to see Madea and they were supposed to be knocking the list down and getting this money. That nigga slippin over a runner, whatever happened to M.O.B. A few bitches had called Pullah wanting to go to the show, but he turned all of ‘em down, so he could make a few moves. Even though he never liked going by himself, in his mind, tonight he got to keep all the money he made, so it was a win-win. T-Hit’z told Pullah to get the Camaro and the Firebirds first, and they had to be 2002 because they came with the LS motors. Dude was paying top dollar, so that’s what Pullah went looking for. Knowing it be nice sports cars at Porkies Golf Club, Pullah rode through their parking lot and saw a nice ass Firebird, looking to be just what he needed. After checking out the vin number in the window, Pullah made his move, loading it into the flatbed, and pulled off, like he was just doing his job. The first car he saw on the streets was a cop, and he was spooked but no lights came on, so he kept on pushing to the shop and unloaded the car. Yea, I’ma come up tonight, I’ma buy ma whip to stunt in at ma show. Pullah switched trucks and kept pushing to the next come up. After riding for an hour, Pullah came across a short bed SS 454 truck, and even though it wasn’t on the list, to him it was a must have, so he loaded it up and killed the alarm. Checking his surroundings, he saw shit was clear, so he pulled off and grabbed his cell, “Nigga, what?”

“Boss, Mustang in the parking lot, and you got bout twenty more minutes.”

“So, why you wait so long to fucking call me?”

“Five-o was out here when I pulled up, and shit, I damn near forgot, until I was in the background of Madea.”

“Yea, good looking.” By the time Pullah switched trucks again, made it out to Cross Roads, found the car, and loaded it, people started running out.

“Heeey, hey, that’s ma car man, heeey.” Pullah just drove off like he didn’t hear a word and knew he had to move fast. Soon as he got to the end of the parking lot, all Pullah saw were lights and cops, coming his way.

“Fuck, fuck, fuck!” Pullah knew his ass was busted and going dead to jail. Pullah just stopped the truck and waited for them to get to him because he couldn’t outrun them, or even get out and run. Where he was, it wasn’t no damn where to run to. When the cops passed him, headed back to the highway and back toward the movies, Pullah hoped a fight had broken out, or anything other than them getting him. Pullah jumped on the highway and headed to the shop and calling it a night because he had had too many close calls.
